- Position the lamp to provide a warm basking area while leaving a cooler zone, allowing reptiles or amphibians to regulate their body temperature naturally.
- Operate the light for 10–12 hours per day to simulate a natural day/night cycle. Use a timer for consistency and energy efficiency.
- Regularly check habitat temperature and humidity with reliable gauges to maintain optimal living conditions.
- Even if the bulb still lights, UV output decreases over time. Replace every 6–12 months or as recommended by the manufacturer.
